Infrastructure | Telecontrol Solutions for Roads and Railways

Today, we take the availability of a dense and well-functioning road and rail infrastructure for granted. This is made possible by the dedicated work of motorway maintenance authorities and regional road construction organisations. In addition to maintaining transport routes, they are also responsible for operating and monitoring a wide range of technical equipment.

To ensure reliable operation, various infrastructure systems must be continuously monitored. These include:

  • Pump stations
  • Public restrooms (e.g., at parking areas)
  • Tunnels
  • Motorway maintenance depots
  • Signal and traffic management systems
  • Transformer stations
  • Roadway lighting
  • Cable distribution facilities and cable monitoring systems

Modern Telecontrol Solutions for Infrastructure

LACROIX SAE helps infrastructure operators increase system availability and minimise downtime. In North Rhine-Westphalia alone, operators currently use our systems to monitor around 200 installations.

To transmit data to control centres, we support a wide range of communication technologies, including fibre optic connections, dedicated lines, public networks such as GPRS and DSL, as well as traditional dial-up connections. For critical applications, operators can implement redundant communication paths across different transmission media to maximise reliability. They can also prioritise messages and route them via specific communication channels.

Our modular hardware and software architecture allows operators to adapt solutions to their exact requirements and easily integrate additional systems, including access control solutions.

Reports and Metering Data

For over 25 years, LACROIX SAE has been delivering complete solutions for the acquisition, processing, storage, and transmission of alarms and metering data across all media types. These are integrated into the ProCoS process control system developed by our partner company KISTERS. This system enables detailed cost centre allocation, long-term data archiving, analysis, and export to external systems.
