Monitoring of district heating supply
The expansion of the district heating networks supply is progressing. And for a good reason: The district heating networks generated by combined heat and power in cogeneration plants, having a high level of efficiency. Therefore allows provision of heat and hot water with particularly sparing use of resources.

Digital and continuous measurements
The responsibility for monitoring a district heating network is a challenging one. Problems in the network can often only be identified after costly damage has occurred. An efficient monitoring concept with control system connection can be the solution. The solution from Lacroix SAE gets to the heart of these problems. The experienced system supplier has added special measuring components for use in district heating networks to its established telecontrol and transmission technology. The solution enables continuous digital monitoring of district heating networks and slots from the control centre – with a very good price/performance ratio.
Practical benefits include insulation measurements in the insulation foam, water ingress measurements for slots and temperature measurements for water in the flow and return circuits. A particular benefit in terms of safety is the ability to disconnect loops locally or remotely during servicing.
Our monitoring solution: FW-5 with the PIT-1 and ISO-1
Decentralised pipeline sections place high demands on district heating network operators. According to this, you can protect your employees with continuous digital remote monitoring using the proven FW-5 telecontrol unit in combination with the ISO-1 and PIT-1 extension modules. The extension modules provide the necessary monitoring. They can also perform measurement tasks with their sensors, such as Insulation measurements in the insulation foam, water ingress monitoring for manholes and temperature detection for water in the supply and return lines. The net-line FW-5 transmits the measured data securely to the control centre. It uses the standardised IEC 60870-5-101/-104 or Modbus RTU/TCP protocols.
